Microclimate is defined as the temperature, humidity, pH and air movement at a particular level, usually an interface between two systems, e.g., ground and air, skin and air. Chemicals used in soaps and shampoos disturb the microclimates on your body, which actually cause stinkier microbes to move in, thus, the faster you stink. All personal care and cleaning products (and and lawn care products, pesticides, shampoos, soaps, conditioners, etc) are sold by making you ‘feel’ insecure and then offering a ‘chemical’ bath solution. Studies show how water effects our skin’s ph balance. What does ‘body pH’ mean? The pH, which is an abbreviation for power of hydrogen, is a measuring unit of acidity and alkalinity of a solution. When pH balance is achieved, your body/skin will start to restore its overall health. This cannot be achieved by continuing to use of products with chemicals, (most products claim to assist in ph balance, this is done using chemicals). Have you ever read, “pH balanced” on a product and wondered what it meant? From irritation, dryness, to acne, pH levels can either resolve or cause further distress to your skin. Our skin is naturally designed to fight against infection and the environment. The pH level of the skin refers to how acidic or alkaline your skin is. On a scale from 1 being the most acidic to 14 being the most alkaline, 7 is considered a neutral reading for your skins pH. Our skin has a thin, protective layer on the surface, often referred to as the acid mantle. This acid mantle is made up of sebum (free fatty acids) that is excreted from the skins sebaceous glands, which then mixes with Lactic and Amino Acids from sweat to create the ideal pH, which should be slightly acidic, at about 5.5. Unpolluted rain has pH of about 6.2. So depending on your water supply will depend upon your results, and realise if we stopped pouring chemicals down our drains and into our water supply by way of these chemical products, the ph in our water supply would drastically improve. Common sense really.
My husband and I took the Desteni hair dare and shaved our heads on Jan 1, 2010. This was us standing and making a visual statement for All to be realized as who we are, All as One as Equal. Upon suggestion from Desteni Universe website, we stopped using shampoos/conditioners, soaps and lotions and only bathing with water. We also stopped using all beauty and cleaning products as well as toothpaste. Toothpastes are loaded with chemicals, and we are putting that in our mouths! Instead, use peroxide and baking soda to brush your teeth. Both peroxide spritzed or, baking soda sprinkled, can be used under arms if necessary for odor. We noticed after bathing with water only, within 3 to 4 days, as the body becomes free from the chemicals previously used, you begin to become aware of your own natural body scent. But no odor – unless much physical exertion – which is why baking soda or peroxide before assists. What is amazing is how soft our skin has become. We no longer have dry itchy skin. Most dry skin is caused by the soaps one uses, as they remove the natural oils from your skin. We use water only to shave and have not experienced razor burn at all.
We’re also using earth friendly, chemical free liquid dish detergent and powdered laundry detergent and, are looking into ways of making our own. Instead of using fabric softener, we’re adding baking soda to the rinse cycle. Over the past month and a half, we estimate that we have saved, or avoided spending, at least $200 (hair cut & color, gels, hair spray, shampoos, creme rinse, bar soap, toothpaste, deodorant,makeup,etc.). We have been Conned. All our bodies require is water. Try it for yourself, for two weeks. See for your self. Afterward, send me your video reply! I Dare You for You, for Earth, which is You! 4 versions of System 7 – Alphawave.

The Plastikman Acid House mix receives most of the attention. However, the original System 7 mixes are themselves excellent.

The track was part of the Point 3 album. This was released as two versions: once, called “Fire” had beats, whilst the other “Water” had ambient versions.

The mix on the Fire album is called “Gliss”.

The Hemi-Sync mix of Alpha Wave is possibly the best track on the Water album. It’s 13 minutes of soaring guitar with gated electronic sounds. Gliding on Duo Tone curves is the other standout track, and is equally good in Fire and Water versions.

Alpha Wave was released on CD single in 1995. There were 3 versions.
1) Plastikman Acid House mix. This is the epic 20 minute version that most people know. It essentially took some small samples of a bass note and aggressively looped them. Listen at 02:40 in this video and you’ll hear the source. After a very long build it finally unleashes acid mayhem. The mix was used by System 7 for their live sets at the time. I saw them in 1996 when Steve Hillage was mixing with a pair of CDJs and playing guitar at the same time.

2) Alpha mix
3) That sound mix

The Alpha, That Sound and Gliss mixes all share the same sounds. The Alpha mix is rather more stripped down whilst the That Sound mix adds some extra guitar for an alternative ambient feel. The Gliss mix is probably the best all round original mix because it contains the ambient elements from Water as well as the beats. It also has some additional sounds that are not present on the Alpha and That Sound mixes.

Alpha Wave was re-released sometime around 2000 and this is the version available on iTunes. There were 3 tracks.
1) Plastikman Acid House Mix
Unchanged from 1995 release.
2) System 7 2000 remix
This is a total retool. It’s an amazing harder and faster version that grows for 8 minutes. The recent release Space Bird has a similar feel. Smooth, fast and loads of guitar in the mix.
3) Banandance remix
Another version by System 7, again sounding like a complete remake.

I’m going to put these into part 2. It has crossed my mind that a Plastikman Acid Water mix might sound interesting.

I’m trying to figure out which of the following would form an acidic solution when mixed with water.

1. NH4Cl
2. KF
3. CH3NH3
4. KNO3

Thanks for your help.

I don’t think any of these will form acids when mixed with water

It’s not the right jewelry for house cleaning, since many household cleaners contain ammonia. Do not wear pearls in a swimming pool or hot tub that contains chlorine.
• If pearls are exposed to direct sunlight and/or heat for extended periods of time, the nacre tends to dry, change color, and lose luster. Therefore, exposure to such harsh environments should be avoided.
• Apply makeup and hairspray before you put on your pearls. Wipe your pearls with a soft cloth when you take them off to remove any acids from your skin or makeup residue that may be left on the surface of the pearls.
• Wash pearls periodically with mild soap (NOT detergent) and a soft cloth. When finished washing the pearls, rinse them in clean water and wrap them in a thin, damp cotton towel to dry.
• As an extra precaution, it might be worth getting your pearl jewelry restrung every year or two. Pearls are often strung on silk thread, and this weakens over time. If you wear your pearls a lot, the constant movement of the pearls can also damage the silk.

Members of the family Characidae share many characteristics with other freshwater fish. They are a member of the Ostariophysi superorder, which includes around 68% of all freshwater species in the world. This superorder is characterized by the Weberian apparatus and some sort of alarm substance that is released when the fish is stressed. Family Characidae were originally discovered in South and Central America, but have also been found in central Africa. There are two main variations of Characidae: carnivorous and omnivorous. The omnivorous kinds will eat both vegetable matter and meat, while the carnivorous only eat meats. While there are also herbivorous Characidae, you should probably avoid keeping them, because they will eat literally every plant in your aquarium.

When choosing to keep carnivorous Characidae, there are some things you will want to keep in mind. First and foremost, be aware that anything smaller than the Characidae will be considered food. And mixing other aggressive carnivores will only lead to one or the other being eaten. You will want to keep herbivorous fish that are much larger with Characidae. They will generally leave anything bigger than themselves alone, and the herbivore will not be interested in attacking unless provoked. In contrast to the piranha, which has similar jaws and eating habits, a Characidae will attack both alone and in schools. Piranha tend to attack only in schools. But the effect either type can have on your hand is similar, so be careful. These kind of fish are definitely not recommended for the beginner.

Carnivorous Characidae will eat pretty much any kind of meat. Worms, smaller fish (a lot of dangerous fish keepers will stock the aquarium with several small, cheap fish so the predator has something to hunt), etc. Try to avoid giving them a taste for red meat, and do not put your hands into the tank while feeding them.

Characidae live in the brackish waters of South and Central American rivers. Lots of peat and vegetable matter contribute to hazy waters and a PH leaning towards acidic. When properly kept, Characidae will breed in captivity, leaving eggs that stick to the bottom of the aquarium. They will eat their young however, so if you are going to attempt to breed Characidae be prepared to move either the adults or the young into a separate aquarium right after hatching.

Serrasalmus Rhombeus, also know as white piranha or spotted piranha, are another favorite of people who like to keep dangerous fish. Like Characidae, piranha are from South America, in the Amazon Basin. They can grow up to 10 inches long in the wild, but most aquarium-raised piranha only grow to around 6 inches. As with Characidae, piranha are not for the beginner. As one of the most aggressive fishes, they cannot be kept with other fish. Their most prominent feature is the over-sized jaw, with rows of needle-sharp teeth. Piranha have been known to tear apart aquariums with those teeth. When netting a piranha, you must use extreme caution to keep your hands away from the fish at all times. They will attack and shred your hand without hesitation if you let them. In the wild, a school of piranha can reduce an entire cow to bones in a matter of seconds, so your hand is just a little snack for them.

Piranha eat meat, of course. They will attack and eat any other fish they are kept with. Some of the nicer things about keeping piranha include their relative indifference to water conditions, and that they will not breed in a tank. This prevents schools of piranha from appearing in your tanks. They will eat each other in captivity, especially if there are no other fish to attack. Piranha are extremely aggressive and dangerous, and should only be kept by experienced keepers.
